Cameroon - Back to School : Youths of Ngoketunjia division in the North West region have been called to be bearers of peace inorder for peace to return not only to the division but to the entire NW

The call is made by elits from the said division during the Ngoketunjia All youths conference for peace organized by the Ngoketunjia Youth and Students Cultural Association, know as NGOYSCA this 3rd of September 2022 in Yaounde at the Younnde 6 council esplanade.

The crowd-pulling event saw the presence Richard Bale, the Canadian High Commissioner to Cameroon, Senator Fon Chafah Isaac of Bangolan, Professor Florence Chinje Uphie , Rector of Ngaoundere University, Hon Njingum Musa, Questor National Assembly, Hon Meno of Yaounde VI, Mr Nganjo Mama, President General, NGODECA, Senator Dingha Ignatius, Moh Sylvester, Director General of Treasury, amongst other top-notch elite and personalities. The event that was brief but solemn culminated in the handing of didactic materials to over 300 students and pools and cash prizes to some outstanding students in Yaounde and from other parts of the country All speakers appreciated the efforts of Che Clement Bonuh, National President NGOYSCA and the organising committee headed by the infatigable Dr PEFELA Gildas NYUNGHA and his able team and a host of donors especially the Ngoketunjia cooperative credit union Mr Bimbong Otto CEO of the New Life cosmetics on Earth,Mr Mingo Pius who initiated the scholarship Scheme Dr Sama and a host of others, for the wonderful initiative, while calling for youths who are still in the bushes to drop their arms and embrace peace.

According to statistics

More than 400 million young people, between the age of 15 and 29, live in fragile and conflict-affected contexts across the globe.

This means that more than 400 million young people experience violence, face exploitation, miss out on education, and struggle to survive. Amidst such challenges, the youths of Ngoketunjia have shown that they are able to play an active role, particularly at grassroots and local levels, as peacemakers, mediators, and peacebuilders. Which include,
