This means that more than 400 million young people experience violence, face exploitation, miss out on education, and struggle to survive. Amidst such challenges, the youths of Ngoketunjia have shown that they are able to play an active role, particularly at grassroots and local levels, as peacemakers, mediators, and peacebuilders. Which include,
build social cohesion and trust across different groups existing in the group, open channels and spaces for youth from across diverse backgrounds to work together and build a shared vision of a peaceful Ngoketunjia; advocate for human rights and against violence in any form; support reintegration of young ex-combatants and the healing of multiple traumas of affected communities and persons; strengthen capacities and skills of their peers; and advocate for youth and gender-inclusive peace negotiations and processes.
