Cameroon - Honor and Loyalty : GLOBAL GEOPOLITICAL CATASTROPHE : LET'S SAVE OUR AFRICA

With the major events that have just taken place in the Middle East, the whole world has been stunned to witness yet another of those supposedly popular and spontaneous shenanigans to which the main competitors on the global geostrategic scene have accustomed us. As history repeats itself, with its authors, actors, fascinating scenarios and tragic endings, we take the same characters and start again in each episode of the series.

From the semi-arid lands of Asia to the Sahel of Africa, the destabilisation of institutions is underway, spreading violence through lies, attracting hordes of fanatics driven by hatred, and creating and fuelling opportunities for massacres. The impertinence to the point of lack of conscience relativises and trivialises the massacres and objections, denigrates and stigmatises the victims and exalts and courts the perpetrators. From the point of view of the imperialist powers in disarray, the obscurantist annihilators are seen as big-hearted vigilantes.

We need to look no further than our own country, Cameroon, to see the abyss into which we will inevitably fall should it ever occur to some of us to consider colluding with the international terrorist organisation. The despicable acts perpetrated in some of our administrative regions by armed extremist fundamentalist and separatist groups are really only a pale image of what our daily lives will be like under such circumstances. Above all, we should not assume that our own extremists are more accommodating and humane than others.

To do so would be to overlook the network of connections between the members of the global terrorist organisation, who not only share the same goals, but also exchange knowledge and know-how, and lend each other equipment and personnel. In a vast and explicitly orchestrated transfer of conflict, weapons, ammunition and pyrotechnics, ideologists and fighters from Central Asia are now present in all the hotbeds of tension in the African theatre.

The public display of hanging, beheading and mutilation, the transformation of young girls into human bombs and the banning of Western schools are just some of the imported practices that go against the customs and traditions of our sociology. We have paid the price enough, and we don’t want to see them repeated on our soil.

For us, therefore, the question of who are the winners or losers in the recent upheavals in the Eastern Mediterranean should take a back seat, because the most important, essential and urgent thing right now is to erect barriers capable of stopping the formidable shock waves of this geostrategic catastrophe as far away as possible. Otherwise, the significantly weakened armed terrorist groups we face will seize the opportunity to replenish their arsenals and manpower at the lowest possible cost.

Both in this preventive phase and in the active phases of the existential and sovereign struggle we are waging, the sacred union around the Fatherland must be the guiding principle of the institutions, politicians, civil society and our people. /-
